During my time as an artist in residence at Banff Centre for the Arts in Alberta, Canada, I had the privilege of designing two costumes for a captivating short ballet production. Guided by the concept of celestial beings who shape and create the sky, these costumes were designed to evoke a sense of ethereal beauty and wonder.

Having the opportunity to bring these celestial visions to life through costume design was a true artistic endeavor. The creation of each costume involved a harmonious blend of artistic intuition, technical skill, and a profound connection to the overarching theme of the ballet.

I was able to work strictly as a designer for these costumes, working closely with a first hand and draper to actually construct the garments. These costumes are a testament to the boundless creativity and collaboration that flourished within this exceptional artistic community.
