1350s Velvet Overdress & Accessories

3 piece ensemble based off images & architechural finds from the mid 14th century. Outfit includes gown, overdres and dagged liripie hood. Based off of illuminations in the Romance of Alexander. Hand sewn buttonholes & handmade cloth buttons.

Gown- Red wool, silk thread
Overdress- Yellow cotton velvet, lined in white silk
Hood- Green wool melton, lined in wool flannel. Silk embroidery stitches.

1310 French Noblewoman's outfit

4 piece ensemble based off images & architechural finds from the early 14th century. Outfit includes chemise, gown, lined surcoat, and woven headband. Entirely hand sewn, with effort to use as accurate stitching techniques as possible. Check out the blog post for more in depth information!

Surcoat- Wool lined in silk, hand dyed with period methods, silk & linen thread
Gown- Wool with linen thread, hand dyed with modern methods
Chemise- Linen with linen thread
Headband- Silk, hand woven on period loom
