Angel of Small Death

Inspired by the enchanting imagery of religious iconography and the awe-inspiring architecture of cathedrals, I embarked on the creation of this captivating costume. My fascination with medieval and renaissance depictions of saints, adorned with gilded halo crowns and draped with lush puddles of fabrics that catch the light from every angle, ignited the inspiration for this ensemble. I sought to capture the ethereal atmosphere of those representations while infusing it with a playful burlesque style.

The corset, a centerpiece of the costume, accentuates the wearer's figure, embracing sensuality with elegance. The boots add a touch of allure and heighten the overall aesthetic. The headdress, reminiscent of saint’s halos, crowns the ensemble, infusing it with a regal and divine aura.

This costume is a harmonious fusion of sacred and seductive, blending the visual elements of religious imagery and the expressive nature of burlesque. It aims to capture the essence of medieval and Renaissance art while reimagining it through a contemporary lens.
